Time Square

New York

We’ve arrived! JFK  New York, took over an hour to get through Customs at the airport, took the Express bus to Port Authority in the centre of New York, and only a short walk to our first experience of how bad it will get, our hotel (Hotel Carter) is soooo bad, it made Jody cry, oh dear.  Bryan was so glad that they’ed booked it together, the reviews on the Internet where the best hotel in its price range.  To describe the room, well the movies of a room that is a dark, dirty, old, falling apart and you just can’t describe it in words, we would have taken a photo, but we just want to forget that room.  We got them to change our room, up to the 18th floor, much nicer, but still dirty, but somewhere for us to sleep the night.

Walking around Times Square was a moment in time that we’ll both remember as the start of our world tour, very busy, as you’d expect.  We headed for our first meal, a nice quaint restaurant, were we just had to have an American Burger for me and a Veggie burger for Jody P1010440
